Warning to the Ladies: This might make you cry.

Two days ago,  I received an e-mail from a man I didn’t know.  We’ll call him Mr. R.  Normally I don’t open these, but I was extremely intrigued by the subject line.

He told me a story about his friend, who we will call Miss H.  Miss H was given up for adoption as a child.  She has been searching for many years to find her birth parents.  It’s very, very difficult to get this information & she spent years searching only to get some incorrect information. She was told that her birth mother & a sister had been killed in a car wreck in 1999 so she gave up.  “What’s the point if they’re not alive?”  was her thinking.  Then about 3 weeks ago, she started talking to Mr. R after a time of not communicating.  Mr. R, being the friend he is, asked her if she wanted him to try & find out where her family was buried & , of course, she agreed, not really thinking much would come of it.  Now Mr. R’s job requires that he be very good at finding relatives of John/Jane Doe so he got to digging.

When I was older I was told that I had a sister who had been given up for adoption.  I can’t really recall WHO told me, but I found out.

The story completely checks out!  Mr. R is exactly who he claimed to be & so is Miss H.

It was quite a shock to the system because I just never imagined this.  I knew about her, but had no way of getting information & who knows if she would even want to know.  So I waited because I knew that the only way I’d ever meet her was if she found me!  It just goes to show that life is a journey full of surprises.

So let me say this:  If you were adopted & want to find you’re birth family, don’t stop looking!  You’re birth parents may not be alive, but you very well have siblings & other family members who are.  Maybe they’ve been looking for you too!

Ra’s Warrior & the Talismans of Time is 1 year old today!

To celebrate, we have moved to a new host with mucho, mucho space!  Soon, we will be adding new features to enhance your reading pleasure.  I am switching themes for the comic layout very shortly so if the story is unavailable you know I’m working on it.  ComicPress is very clumsy & I’m tired of typing in code every time I have to upload a page.  The new system will also allow me to make the pages into a “Flash” style comic.

Hi Readers,

I had a bit of a hacker problem & am working diligently to get the site back to its original state or thereabouts.  I apologize for this horrid intrusion.  The hackers in question (from Palestine) simply high-jacked the main page, but I’ve since recovered most of the site.  I’ve done my research about them & have found that they are hacking sites just for fun & that they really cause no harm except to high-jack the main page.  Unfortunately, the backup was older so most comments have been erased forever.

Please take steps to protect yourself, just in case.

To the Hackers:
Please, leave our comic alone.  We worked hard to get to this point. High-jacking our page to prove that you can hack the site is outright childish & makes you an a@@hole.  I have nothing for you to steal.  There are no credit card numbers here, no registered users, & all you did was cause me a huge headache because I had to reinstall the entire site!   May Alla bless you regardless.
